1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Keen (“Keen,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By texting Keen, opening this site, subscribing to Keen Pro, or otherwise using the service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Keen.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use Keen. By using Keen, you represent that you meet these requirements and that any information you provide is accurate.
3. What Keen is — and isn't
Keen is an executive-function coach delivered via iMessage, designed for people with ADHD and adjacent challenges. It helps you sort what's in your head, break tasks into a first move, run focus sessions as a body double, and remember the things you've asked it to remember.
Keen is not a therapist, not a doctor, not a psychiatrist, not a counselor, and not a mental-health professional. Nothing Keen says is medical advice, a diagnosis, or treatment. Keen is not a substitute for therapy, medication management, or any form of clinical care.
If you are in crisis, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US). For non-crisis mental-health support, please consult a qualified human professional.
4. Your account
Your account is identified by the phone number you text Keen from. Don't share it. You're responsible for activity on your account. Notify us at hey@keen.money if you suspect unauthorized use.
5. Messaging (iMessage / SMS) terms
Opt-in.
By texting Keen at (305) 333-3940, you consent to receive transactional and conversational messages from Keen, including replies to your messages, the morning check-in at the time you choose, the end-of-day recap, reminders you schedule, and focus-session check-ins you authorize. This consent is the basis for our messaging.
Frequency.
Variable. Keen replies when you text it. Keen also sends proactive messages — typically 0–4 per day for active users. You can request a lower cadence anytime ("fewer texts," "minimal").
Opt-out — STOP.
Reply STOP to stop all proactive messaging immediately. We will send one acknowledgment and then stop. We also honor STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPTOUT, CANCEL, END, REVOKE, and QUIT. You can re-subscribe at any time by texting Keen again.

Carrier charges.
Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. Keen does not charge per message.
Delivery.
Messages are delivered via Sendblue. iMessage delivery is best-effort; carriers may downgrade to SMS where iMessage is unavailable.
6. Pricing
- Free tier: the morning check-in at the time you choose, brain-dump sorting and triage, focus sessions (body-double mode), smart reminders that include the context you need, the end-of-day recap, and overwhelm triage when it gets too loud. Up to 5 active reminders. Unlimited messages. Honest pattern observations.
- Keen Pro — $19 / month: everything in the free tier, plus deadline tracking (Keen surfaces what's about to slide before it does), avoided-email surfacing (the inbox-fear killer), the weekly recap with cross-day patterns, uncapped reminders, and a tunable check-in time. Subscription renews monthly via Stripe; cancel anytime.
Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply.
7. 21-day money-back guarantee
If Keen Pro isn't helping within the first 21 days of your subscription, you can request a full refund of that month. Email hey@keen.money or text Keen "refund" within the 21-day window. After day 21, the standard cancellation policy below applies.
8. Cancellation
Cancel Keen Pro at any time by texting Keen "cancel my subscription" or emailing hey@keen.money. Cancellation stops the next billing cycle. Outside the 21-day guarantee, partial-month refunds are not issued. You will retain access to Pro features through the end of the paid period.
You can also delete your account entirely at any time by texting "delete my data." See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Keen for anything illegal or in violation of any law or regulation.
- Use Keen on behalf of someone else without their explicit consent.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, extract, or otherwise obtain the agent's prompts, system instructions, model weights, or proprietary configuration.
- Probe or test the security of the service, except through a coordinated disclosure (email hey@keen.money).
- Use Keen to harass, threaten, or defraud anyone.
- Share your phone number or web token with anyone — your account is personal.
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to interact with Keen.
We may suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these rules.
10. Subprocessors and service providers
We use the third-party providers listed in our Privacy Policy — including Sendblue, Stripe, and our LLM providers — to deliver the service. Each operates under a written data-processing agreement.
11. Intellectual property
Keen, the Keen agent persona, the underlying software, prompts, system designs, and trademarks are owned by Keen. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Keen for its intended purpose under these Terms. You retain ownership of the messages you send and any content you provide. By submitting content (e.g., a screenshot), you grant us the rights necessary to process and store it solely to provide the service.
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranty of any kind — express, implied, or statutory — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keen does not guarantee any specific outcome with respect to focus, productivity, task completion, or symptom relief, and Keen is not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, or therapeutic care.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Keen and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising from or related to these Terms or the service. Our total aggregate liability for any direct claims will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Keen in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so portions of these limits may not apply to you.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Keen from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. Either party may bring a small-claims action in lieu of arbitration if the dispute qualifies.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be communicated via Keen text or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
